My Porsche Power Day

Saturday 13th May 2006

For my birthday Dave decided to buy me a track day car session. As I really like Porsche's he decided to book me a Porsche Power Day held at Mallory Park, Leics.

For my hot hatch laps I decided I wanted to drive the Subaru as I would love to own one aswell. We had a short break from driving the Porsche's so we were sent away to drive an old Land Rover...nothing hard I hear you say but we had to navigate through a course set out in cones, with a Land Rover which had the steering changed back to front ie.. when I turned the wheel left the land rover turned right and vice versa. This to say the least was a lot of fun.

The Brief

Porsche have a reputation for creating road cars that are equally at home on the racetrack. The porsche experience from Everyman Motor Racing Activities is the opportunity to prove it. In both a 996 and Caymen S, drivers can take control of the pinnacle of German engineering, and find out how fantastic the Porsche flat six engine really is.
